First grade is the most important rung of the elementary adventure. Children will build on the skills learned in Pre-School to become more confident in writing and reading.

They will read stories with familiar words and then with new words and longer sentences to have a better vocabulary. They will also learn to add and subtract, they will be amazed by the world around them, they will learn about plants and animals, and they will begin to learn more about their country, Guatemala.
